You should be concerned about the girl from the church who got pregnant out of wedlock and do everything you can to help her instead of shunning her and refusing to help her out in any way. What about the girl who flushed her baby down the toilet because she thought she had no other recourse? What made her feel that way? Better yet, WHO made her feel that way?
How have you treated that girl you know who was living "a life of sin?" Have you loved her or have you turned your back on her because she sinned differently than you in your cozy little glass house? Did you congratulate her and gush over her for choosing life or did you tell all the kids her age to not associate with her and refuse to give her baby gifts when her baby was born? What is your response in a situation like that? It is very telling of your actual feelings and motives how your treat people who make wrong choices in their lives. You should also be concerned if you never even thought about these parts of your big strong stance.
Along with all of that, what do you think of people like me who lost babies we actually wanted? What do you think when you see countless posts from a bunch of baby loss moms on Facebook? Do you sigh with chagrin that she is still rambling on about THAT? Do you scroll quickly past her heartache so as not to be affected by it? Are you supportive all the time or only when it's convenient for you? Do you think she should get over it already and shut up because it's already been X amount of years or months or days? Because here's a news flash, doing any or all of those things doesn't prove much in the pro life stance. Pro life people say that ALL lives matter. But if you don't care about lives that WERE wanted along with the ones that weren't, then you're double tonguing.
Are you pro life or are you pro birth? Are you living your life by the standards you talk about or are you just full of lots of words? Are you concerned about all the mothers in all the situations or only the ones who follow your set of guidelines? So honestly, figure out your stance for real and then go from there before you speak again.
Good words!
